Mx. Dietrich Squinkifer (Squinky) is a writer, programmer, musician, and visual artist who creates games and playable experiences about gender identity, social awkwardness, and miscellaneous silliness. Their work has been featured in the Independent Games Festival and the IndieCade festival, as well as in venues ranging from the Smithsonian American Art Museum to an anarchist bookstore in Santa Cruz. Squinky is currently living in Montreal, where they are working on a research-creation PhD on autobiographical games at Concordia University, and helping to organize the local chapter of Game Workers Unite with the goal of unionizing the videogame industry.
